Proposals

Submitting a Proposal

To Submit a Proposal:

  1. In the left navigation, under Headquarters  >  Templates, click Proposals.  The Submit Proposal Wizard appears:

  1. Enter the Subject in the text field. 
  2. HINT: At any time during the proposal submission process, the user may save the proposal as a draft by clicking Save as Draft.

  3. Select the Proposal Type from the drop-down menu.
  4. If desired, select the Type of Change from the drop-down menu.
  5. Select the CFR, Part, and Para from the drop-down menus.
  6. NOTE: When the screen appears, all but one of the drop-down menus under CFR is grayed out (inaccessible).  The rest of them will become accessible as valid options are selected.

  7. Click Next
  8. Enter the proposal information in the Summary of Proposed Changes text field.
  9. Click Next.
  10. Enter any Comments in the text field.
  11. Click Next.  The Attachments form appears:

  1. If desired, do any of the following:
    1. Enter the Title, Description, and/or any applicable Keywords in the appropriate fields.
    2. To upload a file, click the Browse button next to the Update text field.
    3. Click Upload to upload the information to the proposal submission.
  2. Click Next.  The Submit Proposal guidance table appears:

  1. To associate existing guidance to the proposal, select the desired item from the Available Guidance table.
  2. HINT: Guidance files provide reference or background information that is useful in proposal development.

  3. Click the down arrow () below the top table.  The item appears in the Associated Guidance table.
  4. Click Submit.  Depending on the business rules defined for Workflow, the proposal will appear as a task in someone’s Inbox.
